FAQ

  • All the processes must beactivated.
  • Delete all processes, like compressors and limiters, on your master channel. Only leave on your master channel creative processes like auto filter.
  • There must be no saturation in any channel, the dBs in the Master channel must be below -3dB, and the channelfader must be at 0.
  • Send us a track as a reference. This can be of great help to understand the intention behind your creation.
  • Please don't forget to leave a bar before the track and a few after it.
  • The files should be WAV orAIFF, 24-bit/44.1 kHz, with no dither.
  • Activate all processes and automations in each channel. Check them one by one.
  • If you have applied filters on the master channel, copy them in all the affected channels. This doesn't include limiters or compressors. In this case, deactivate them on the master channel.
  • You should add Reverb, Delay, Echo and other effects on the send and return channels, so that you can control the outcome better and therefore get better results. If you are not familiar with this, feel free to reach out for instructions.
  • When using groups to create processes on all the selected stems, you will need to decide if you are going to send groups of stems or separate stems. If you are sending separate stems, do not forget to copy the process you have applied on the group to each stem(always keep the kick, bass, and sub on separate stems).
  • Delete the fade-in and fade-out effects which Ableton or whatever software you use generate automatically.
  • Name all the files accurately. They need to match with the part they belong to.
  • Under no circumstances should a track saturate or be above -3dB.
  • Leave at least one bar before the track and a few at the end.
  • Select the area to be exported.
  • Export using the option “All individual tracks”.
  • The files should be WAV or AIFF format, 24-bit/44.1 kHz, with no dither applied.
  • Create a folder to save all the stems and after clicking on “Save as”write a hyphen (-). This way, you’ll make all files start with a hyphen before the name. Please also send the file which only has the hyphen as a name. That is the pre-master, which will be useful as a reference.
  • Double-check that all files are correct before sending them, and make sure to delete the ones you don't need from the folder you have created. You should also create a new project on Ableton and import all the files there, including the pre-master. Finally, compare that everything sounds like you intended it, in the pre-master and all stems. If so, you can already send all the files.
  • Compress the folder into a ZIP orRAR file and uploaded to your preferred platform.
